BIO

Emily Morse (b. 1995) is a flute and piccolo player from Ancaster, Ontario. Emily completed her BMus in flute at Wilfrid Laurier University (2017). She is currently completing her MMus in flute performance and musicology at the University of Victoria. 

​

Emily is interested in both orchestral repertoire and interdisciplinary arts. Musical and ensemble credits include: ​UVic Symphony Orchestra (piccolo), 2020; ​Discovering the Repertoire of Mel Bonis ​(University of Victoria, Graduating lecture recital, flute), 2020; ​Woodwind Quintet ​(University of Victoria, flute), 2018-2919; ​The Flute Works of Mel Bonis (​University of Victoria, first year Graduate recital, flute), 2019; Participation at the ​West Coast Composers Symposium ​(flute/voice, personal composition)​, 2​018-2020; Premiering and recording works by Canadian composer Joseph Chiu (​These Moments are Fleeting, ​flute), 2018; ​The Yacht Club​ (founding member, flute/piccolo/voice), 2017-2018; NUMUS ​Nü Ears Ensemble (bass flute), 2017-2018; ​WLU Symphony Orchestra​ (flute/piccolo), 2016-2017; ​WLU Wind Symphony (flute/piccolo), 2014-2016; ​Wellington Winds ​(flute/piccolo), 2015-2017.
