Debussy, Syrinx, for solo Flute
As the myth goes, Syrinx was a beautiful nymph who caught the attention of the god, Pan. He pursued Syrinx who fled, turning herself into a reed to escape Pan. Pan plucked the reed and fashioned Syrinx into a flute.
In an attempt to capture the sadness surrounding this myth, i've paired my flute performance with the evening painting i've made, titled "8pm".
